My PC currently gets stuck on boot with the windows logo on and then I have to turn off the UPS and then start the PC again and it works. This has been happening since yesterday. I start my computer, it gets stuck on windows loading screen, then I turn off the UPS, I start my UPS again, Start my PC, and it works. WTH is happening? I didn't do anything to my PC.

Wow no one has any clue what's happening?

I opened my PC and reset the CMOS battery..now the pc doesn't even move past the loading screen. The three dots start spinning and then stops halfway. Same happens when the pc eneters automatic repair screen.

I can get into the BIOS fine.

Could be by doing that you enabled CSM / Legacy mode and your OS was installed in UEFI mode.

UPS.

So you kill power to your UPS and then switch the UPS back on and then you can boot your system? Has it ever occurred to you to instead try switching off the PSU the same way you did the UPS and see if the result is the same. I guess it's a moot point now until you can get it back to failing like it used to.

nothing was changed or done to this machine for the past 3 years. This is what I did:

1. Removed each of RAM sticks.

2. Inserted stick 1 in the closest slot to the CPU

3. PC booted just fine.

4. Replaced the Stick 1 with Stick 2.

5. PC was stuck at the logo like before. Tried 2-3 times.

6. Installed Stick 1 in its usual second slot, and stick 2 in 4th slot.

7. Now PC works like normal. Touchwood.
