If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it's probably a duck. AKA smells like the seller needs to be reported to Newegg for shady business practices.

Dude I hope it's real because me and my friend just bought 2, we are from Mexico and they are going to be send to my PO Box in USA, seemed legit because it had other products at reasonable prices except for the GPU's that were very low. Is the very first product I buy from newegg and I thought it was safe because of the page reputation. I saved documents for anything in case there's something sketchy going on, pdf on the site, pdfs of the payment with the full product description and everything.

Worst case scenario I get a refund or a used 3080, I think newegg policy protects me right?

I bought 3 3050's yesterday. I'm not sure either. I hope it is not a scam but if it is I am pretty sure the return policy should protect me. Its weird because i bought it around 9pm and near to 12pm the prices shot up from 109 to 269. And now they are all out of stock. I read the sellers return policy and it seems like if we just send it back in the condition we get in it should be returned. I'm probably going to take screen shots of my order and things as proof of purchase. Please let me know if you guys receive yours or dont. Just let me know if you see any thing fishy/

If the seller sends you the wrong card and you try to return it, the seller can turn around and say YOU were the one who sent them back the wrong card and deny the return. Then they keep the card AND your money. If they do send you the wrong card, it was obviously on purpose, and trusting THEIR return policy would be naive at best. A 3050 for $109? It's going to be a scam, and trusting Newegg of all companies, especially after "you-know-what" is just asking for disappointment.

Newegg allows third party sellers since a while ago. This isn't newegg selling and they don't really have any checks on their site for if they are legitimate. That and neweggs return policy is very anti consumer and you will basically be sol the moment you get your gts450 in the mail.

So be prepared to lose the money op, @Stalloner and @VEX_APOLLO. This is beyond a common scam.

So I bought a 3070 OC from them. Honestly if we get scammed I'm gonna be really sad because that's just crappy business practice on their end if they don't deliver. Tbh should I cut my losses? It seems too good to be true and I really hope they follow through. Although it wouldn't surprise me to get an open box 3070 used for mining that's in bad condition or like you guys said above, the wrong graphics card entirely so they can try to scam. That same GPU I got is now being listed a $920 from them.

Be sure to post updates on this, if you guys get a brick or rotten potatoes inside the box I want to see them.

Tbh I'll be making a video of the unboxing. I sent a message to the seller letting them know what I'd being doing, which I documented as well. I will be making a video where my package gets delivered, I'm going to start recording before I open the door and then open said package. If it isn't what was advertised I'm attaching it to newegg customer support and getting a full refund. If I wind up getting scammed I'm just gonna go with a more reputable seller and get a 3080 ti and upgrade my PSU while I'm at it.

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS I GOT AN UPDATE ULTRA FAST LEMME TELL YA, THEY ARE SENDING YOU ABSOLUTE BS LOOK AT THIS

I let them know I'd be video taping my package on arrival and that I would be letting Newegg know if there was ANYTHING wrong with my order besides it being brand new as advertised for the price I paid and they sent me THIS. My advice is to put in for your refund now. It's what I'm doing and I'll be going to a more reputable seller

Wow. Color me scammed!

If the 3rd party seller knows of problems in their warehouse, maybe... just maybe... de-list your damn items? Oh wait, that's the scam! 😄

Don't worry I had my orders cancelled 2 days ago and my bank is in process of returning my full money, wich wasn't taken by Newegg yet. I took the decision after talking with Newegg customer support and having some red flags popping up here and there, even when Newegg said that seller had 3 months of guarantee and 3 years of guarantee with the manufacturer...

I actually reached out to newegg via their chat service on the day it was supposed to ship (3/30) and they told me at this point everything looks fine. They said they sent a message to the seller basically saying please ship this customer's order ASAP (I ordered the 3080 Strix and the Asus 2060). I did ask if this seller has actually sold legit items and completed purchases before and she did tell me this (from the chat transcript):

"Susie Y.    08:45 AM PT
Yes, Mathew, I double checked, there were complete order history for both video cards you ordered from the same sellers."

I haven't seen any difference in my order status so as I honestly expected, this is a total scam and I won't be getting lucky with some cheap @ss graphics cards.

*Update*

Spoke with another Newegg Rep and was told that the seller is under investigation and the orders cannot be processed, so they will be working on cancelling and refunding the orders on the seller's behalf.
