Posted March 27, 2022 I am trying to put a longboard wheel on a razor motor to attach onto a bike to make a fun DIY E-bike. I have an Arbor on the motor but the arbor's diameter is too large for my wheel's bearing. Since the wheel is not spinning by itself but with the help of a motor, would it still work to have the wheel without bearings? Would this slow down the ebike? Posted March 27, 2022 You need bearings to support the wheel and the wheel supporting the weight of the scooter and rider. You could probably find a bearing with the same 22 mm OD with a wider ID to fit your motor's shaft. Try Fast Eddy Bearings or McMaster. Posted March 27, 2022 A pillow block bearing can be adapted and found in mm and inch sizes. They are the do all end all of sidemounted bearing mounting DIY.
