How to prevent windows update?

lately i got cummulative update for my version (20h2) but this particular update is fucking up my windows theme patch so bad that untill i can't even use my pc. Luckily i got restore point save and its easily restored. The problem is the update is coming again, i already turn windows update off but it still there. Now the update is ready to install, if i just accidentally do restart or turn off and update im afraid my pc will fucked up again. How do get rid of that update ? how do i get rid of it so i dont accidentally turn off and update my pc ?

You could download it then delete it through "view update history" in "windows updates". I've never had this problem personally but I think it could work

Disable windows update in services.msc. Use Simplewall firewall to block updates.
