I have a slight problem that occurred last 2 days. I recently installed 2 windows update (optional). Upon watching a YouTube video about 3 hours later, both monitors went black. I proceeded to think that a common error occurred and tried to restart. While restarting, my computer did come on but there was no picture out. I contacted Microsoft in hopes of help but sadly there was none. I then plugged my monitor into my motherboard using integrated graphics. There was a post. I tried reseating the graphics card, ram and tried different cables. I have noticed that my GPU fans doesn’t spin on boot (which they normally do). I have also tried updating bios along with AMD drivers. Sadly thag didn’t help. The AMD software says that no product is detected when reality it’s in the correct slot. I have also noticed that the fans spin on boot 1/10 times and that’s when my graphics card work perfectly. I tried to install the drivers but I am then faced with a black screen.

Have you tried booting in safe mode with the card?

You said there was POST while using the mobo GPU, you have visual via mobo GPU? I wouldn't normally expect that to be the case if you have a dedicated GPU plugged in, some mobos have an "auto switch" where if they detect a dedicated GPU the mobo GPU is turned off- let me know if I have misinterpreted your problem

No, you are correct. Sadly the motherboard isn’t detecting the GPU

With a z390 board, there should be another 16x slot (running at 8x electrically) have you tried putting it in that slot? It may be a motherboard problem.

Yeah I tried it, but I don’t feel like I gave it a full and complete attempt. If that made any sense.

A horrible plan, where I live Fedex wants to charge me $205USD for shipping. In my currency that’s $410BZE. That’s basically half of what I originally  paid

Sounds like MSI resides somewhere too far away from you that it wouldn’t be worth sending it in. Keep troubleshooting until you come to an answer.

I think you should clean the contacts, reseat the PSU cables too. If you have a working PSU try it too. Also try a different CPU cooler if you have one, because the cooler can touch the VRM’s and prevent the PC from doing certain things.
