Hi, I’m trying to decide between the two laptops posted below, the primary purpose is to use it at work on my breaks, watch Netflix/YouTube  and try out freecodecamp, I game on Xbox and if I ever decided to game on PC Id probably get a desktop.

I like how the HP envy (Costco) is small and would fit into a bag easily but maybe it’s too small for freecodecamp stuff?

I haven’t had the chance to see the one from BJs yet but I have a Lenovo y50-70 which is the same screen size as the BJs one that I don’t want to take to work cause the screen/hinge was acting up recently so that stays open on the desk now.

major differences seem to be the screen size, Intel vs AMD and I/O

Thanks for reading and any help in deciding

and I suppose I’m open to a different laptop, but someone else gave me a recommendation for something that was $900 which is more than I’m looking to spend.

Either laptop is fine but the 5700u would be better. Btw the costco sale is a fakeout since the normal price for that envy is basically 600

Oh, that deal did seem a bit too good to be true.

Is the AMD one even a good deal or would I just be better off waiting? This is more of a want purchase and not a need

thanks

It’s not $400 off good,  but it’s originally 799, and 120 off

Doesn't matter. Was talking about the current price. Either way for 80$ more you get double the computer so yeah I'd get that in a heartbeat.
