Hey guys, first ever build! Did initial research and this is the first version of my build. Still figuring out if I can use my existing monitor so not a priority for now. Any feedback on my build? Also, any favorite mouse / keyboard combos? Will obviously get LTTs desk pad!

Appreciate the help!

I don't think the Hyper 212 is going to get the job done if you're planning to overclock that 12700k... and if you aren't planning to overclock, you could save some money on the CPU and motherboard.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I beg of you. please be patient in trying to find a a 3060 ti at least for that chip. Closer to MSRP. don't give in and spend such a ridiculous amount on a GPU. I know the market is awful rn but if you really try you can get it at a lower price. I waited and managed to get a 3060ti for $400 myself.

Also...I wouldn't pay full price for a copy of windows. you can use any windows 7 pro key which is on a sticker on a lot of older computers. you can also by keys for cheap on keystore websites

Edit: If you don't have your heart set on team green, if you go to microcenter they always have AMD cards plentiful but you have to pay the tariff

Even if you aren't gonna overclock, that cooler isn't gonna be enough for a 12700k. A Scythe Fuma 2 (dual tower cooler) in my testing ran a 12700k at 85C in a 10 minute Cinebench R23 run at stock. Having half as much surface area pretty much means that CPU will overheat at stock.

Dude, please get an AIO. A fan cooler will certainly not be enough for a 12th gen Intel chip, my Ryzen 3300x can't even overclock with a fan cooler, so I expect the cooler won't do much for you either.

Turn it off then on again.

Do you know what a wide range of products is encompassed by "fan cooler"? There are beefy air coolers that will take care of his 12700k just fine. Meanwhile, just telling him to get "an AIO" isn't helpful because that would include pitiful little 120mm AIO's that won't do any better than the Hyper 212.

Yes, I forgot to mention. A 120 rad certaintly won't be better, for around the same price as the current cooler. If you keep the fan cooler, don't dare overclock, as you certainly will get super high temps.
