Hello,

New poster! Looking for some help, and hope im posting in the right topic/place. I am very new when it comes to networking, I just know the basics. I have currently setup three 4 port switches kind of daisy chained together, But I have an HP Procurve 2650 48 port switch that was given to me. How would I go about setting this thing up as just a basic switch/router? I would like to eliminate the number of 4 port switches I have and clean my home networking up a bit. All I've been able to dig up google search wise is a basic setting up/getting started guide. I would love if someone could guide me and point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Reset the Procurve to the default factory configuration and it should wake up as a dumb layer 2 switch with all ports in the same VLAN. Plug one of the LAN interfaces from your ISP router into it and all the network cables from your other switches into it.
