yeah, you say only PC and xbox, but we are all on PC, its more about PC xbox app and PC steam cross platform, wich I think it doesn't have aswell?

Based on a quick internet search, it appears the developers of Astroneer have chosen not to make it crossplay compatible between Steam and the Windows Store at this time.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/astroneer-crossplay-between-xbox-and-steam/022d5e3b-5472-434a-bb0f-3d1e6bb41614

Many many times, me and my friends decide to play a game that we all have, but we then figure out that we own it iin different platforms, I own it on xbox game pass, one of them owns it on steam, the other on epic games, and unless the game has a lobby browser, we generally end up not beeing able to play that game together because of that, since I can't invite them, cause when I click the invite button, the steam invite window pops up (or xbox invite window, etc)
Is there any way to fix that?

No, unfortunately. The game has to have cross platform play built in, i.e. generally its own separate multiplayer infrastructure. Depending on the game, there may be mods that use community servers or something, but that's mostly a PC fix, to potentially bridge the gap between Steam and Epic maybe, but not XBL or PSN.

The good news is that there is momentum in the space for more developers making their titles cross platform. There's many more games today that support that than even a few years ago. It's still a mess out there, though.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D · Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S Chromax.black · Motherboard: Gigabyte Auros X670 Elite AX · RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 · Graphics Card: Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge OC 12GB · Boot Drive: 1TB XPG Gammix S70 Blade NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB WD SN850X NVMe SSD · PSU: Seasonic Focus GX V3 1000W 80+ Gold · Case: Fractal Design North Mesh · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: EPOMAKER x Aula F99 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard · Mouse: Logitech G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

It'll be up to the developer to harmonize all of the different platforms together. So for instance, Bungie brought Cross-Save and Cross-Play to Destiny 2 and is possibly the most successful of the bunch. So right now we have players on Steam, PSN, XBox Live/ Game Pass, and Stadia all matchmaking together.

Purchases of course don't transfer over because each platform wants their commission.
