I recently got a new pc to replace my old pc and I am wondering if in can take the ram from my old pc and add it to my new pc to have more ram.

Compare the RAM in both systems, they have to be the same type (DDR[number]) in order to be used at all. Also using more than 1 kit of memory on a PC at the same time can ruin the stability depending on the frequency of the current kit.

Depends. If the old motherboard uses e.g. DDR3 and the new one uses DDR4, then you can't. If both use DDR4, you could. Depending on the speed difference (if there is one), you may get more RAM, but could end up with slower RAM in return. To give you better info, we'd need to know the technical specs of the RAM sticks in both systems (e.g. type, frequency, latency).
