I'm running Windows 10 Home 20H2 (I know this is well out of date, but every time I try to update it fails and reverts changes), I checked my start-up apps in settings a few days ago and noticed a random app called "Ncalrpc", when I checked my start-up apps in task manager this does not show. The random app no longer showed once I closed setting but then another random app entirely in Chinese did show up. Every time I load up Start-Up apps in settings the name of this app changes, it's always gibberish and often in Chinese. Sometimes it is just called "Startup". The app has no icon or publisher. The app never appears in Task Manager Start-Up apps and nothing looks suspicious in Sysinternals Autorun. If I check Nirsoft's WhatInStartup tool I can see two apps which are not in either Task Manager or Settings Start-up app list. One is "GalaxyClient" which is GOG galaxy and the other is "Zoom" which I used to have installed but I have now uninstalled. I have run a full virus scan using both Windows Defender and Bitdefender, neither found anything.

TLDR: Random app shows in Settings Start-Up Apps list which changes name every time. Virus Scans come back clean. App does not show up in Task Manager Start-Up apps list.

I would be suspicious of the name changing app.  Have you tried running Malwarebytes?

I have not, I did a full Bitdefender scan tho. I alwasy thought most antiviruses scan for the same malware, I can give it a shot
