3G card has less cores than 6G card and half the vram, I would say it is a bad deal as you could have gotten a 6G card for that price.

I agree a bad deal. I bought a 1060 3g in late 2019 for 150 usd and it wasn't used at all actually.. Maybe used for 2 months or so. I know prices are different now, but anyway still a old card.

You should've at least waited for the RTX3050 to see how the availability is and maybe catch one. Might've been a little more expensive but loads faster.

I imagine in the moment it might have seemed like a good deal and to even have a GPU at the moment is better than nothing. I'd agree with the comments above that this is probably a bad deal and I would look to move the card on with the idea to upgrade to something that is going to last you.

The 1060 3gb has been a bad deal since the moment it came into existance. 3gb of vram was barely enough in 2017 let alone now in 2022 that and the 3gb version is also slower than the 6gb version. You for sure got a worse card that is very much so going to become useless for games far quicker than the 6gb version.
