How To Get Replacement CPU Cooler If It Breaks Down Years Later ?

hi,

 

so if years down the road...............the stock CPU cooler were to break down...............will i be able to get a replacement cooler for AM4 socket ?

 

or should i buy one now and keep it just in case ?

Considering you can get stock socket 478 coolers still and there is also aftermarket upgrades that you will be able to get. I wouldnt worry about it.

That is the most likely case.
Nowadays aftermarket air cooler supports up to many previous gen socket.
Especially so if there's popular CPU(s) for that socket.

Example : My friend's Hyper 212 LED Turbo that he bought at 2020 still supports up to AMD FM1 (2011) & Intel LGA 775 (2004 I think).

The only thing that's gonna break on a cooler <12 years is the fan, and u can put any fan you want on any cooler you want with enough zip-ties. Granted you don't want a fan that's much larger than the heatsink itself.
