Memory OC

Jturner

I'm having trouble with getting my Xmp to boot @3600 on my ram sticks, which is the Xmp profile. At least I think I am. When in cpuz under memory the frequency jumps from 1066 to 1800. Is this normal or a sign of instability? Does this mean it's running at 3600?

I believe that is Geardown Mode changing the RAM speed, disabling that will stabilize clocks but will also impact stability. If it peaks at 1800, it is running at 3600mt/s (as DDR stands for double data rate).
