So im trying to tune this build to be more affordable closer to 2-2.5k or lower if applicable new to all of this so not really sure if this is good or over priced, im Canadian so my currency is CAD, it will mostly be for gaming, i have a 4k 60hz monitor and a 1080p 120hz gaming monitor

If you're just gaming on the 1080p monitor, then I would recommend the much cheaper RX 6600 gpu... at least for now. Wait until the 4000 series, because hopefully prices will be better by then, and you can switch over to a NVIDIA gpu then. Right now, RTX 3000 series gpu's are terribly overpriced due to the demand.

Got you 32GB of ram for a little more than the kit you chose as well. You can also get a windows license from vip-urcdkeys for about 10 bucks so that would get you closer to your budget.

Why the sata ssd tho? Wouldnt a 2tb nvme make more sense or is there even a use of a 1tb sata ssd? Cause clearly its not that much cheaper than the sn750

Under $2500. Did everything I could to save money while leaving the GPU at the same performance. The 12600k will perform about equal to the 5800X in multicore work but beat it in single core stuff for about the same cost.

If you want to save even more, wait for B660 boards to come out and go for an i5 12400(F) for the CPU instead. It will still do great with gaming, it just won't have the extra efficiency cores and will perform closes to the 5600X.

You can do either tbh. I personally like putting my games on a separate drive though, so I can keep better track of the storage usage (aka better partitioning imo). I have a sata SSD just for steam, and another sata SSD for epic games, ubisoft, origin, etc.
