I'm looking for recommendations on a case. I'm using a Micro ATX board AMD board with a ryzen 5600x and plan on using an existing ATX PSU I have. The PC is for general household use, so no high end gaming. Minecraft is about the extent.

Looking for good quality, small and not too heavy. The computer might get moved around periodically. Also, ideally space for a 5.25 drive optical. My wife still uses discs for some education activities.

Should just use external cd drive.

What's your budget for the case buddy? That'll help us in finding you a case faster.

I think the CoolerMaster NR400 would fit the bill nicely.

I have the CoolerMaster NR600, which is the bigger brother, and it has a solid build construction, good cooling, and ample storage.

The price is reasonable as well.

Budget is pretty flexible, max $200. Ideally under $150. Its for a learning environment with small kids so external devices can be problematic at times.

Are you okay with side panel being tempered glass, or would you prefer a non glass ?
Asking because you said there's kids and all.

TBH, not sure. I don't have them on any of my cases. How durable are they? They kids are 3-6 so usually good? And we could always position the glass to a wall.

Well, they're quite durable. But yeah they are glass, and due to it being tempered glass it WILL shatter into tiny little pieces when it breaks.

If you are unsure, may as well go with non glass IMHO. Who knows what kind of creative way a 3-6y old kids can muster to throw/do to the glass.

One I can think of right now.
Probably need to buy additional fan filter if your environment is dusty enough. (doubt it, since it's kids learning environment)

Also to get a gist of how durable tempered glass are :
