In the current market $150 USD is a "reasonable" price for a 970, yes.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

If this is the model with the two fans on the inside of the card, it is certainly worth it. (see attached)

Many people (myself included) find these cards collectible. They typically go for a very high price on ebay, when they do go for sale. If it is the blower style, it is not very collectible.

I agree with Middcore, the $150 price is reasonable given the current market of graphics cards.

This is the blower style cooler! Sadly it is not the dual fan model that I was thinking of. Oh well!

However, it is still a fair price for a GTX 970.

So as a blower that's basically a bottom of the barrel 970. Sadly you're still unlikely to find a better price in the current climate.

I'll talk to seller and see if I can get him to budge on the price and whatever else. Hopefully I can get him quite a bit lower, as I don't see this being worth the money to me right now. As money is quite tight as a student right after X-Mas, and it not being a top tier 970. I'll finish off this thread whenever I've reached a decision, if anyone cares 🙂
