Could be a number of things, your display might have come unplugged, is broken, or your computer fails to POST (see this thread to read about failure to POST) Hook up an external monitor to see if the screen is broken or if it's the computer itself

Heres what you can immediately do to figure out if it has life, See if the caps lock even responds to input as it looks like it has some light on it. If it does respond to input its safe to assume it booted to some kind of OS. Plugging it into a TV is also another way of figuring out if it even posted in the first place. If neither of those work then the laptop is not posting. If it does post then it honestly looks like either a dead display or a loose cable

No display when connected, POST seems likely, disconnected display seems likely, however seems to flash like it would if the screen was normal, dead display seems likely

Caps lock works while i can only assume its posting, but stops after a few seconds

Cannot get it to display on an external monitor or tv
Currently assuming its a disconnected display ribbon

Does sound like it posts then crashes somewhere, If it isnt displaying to an external display something is wrong but it does look to be a loose cable

Well good news is i have pulled the display cable and it now posts
Bad news is the cable wasnt loose so almost certain its dead, but could be a case of reseating it works
