Kolink Rocket v2 itx case - dual 120mm fan intake mod

P5O_OMAR

My Kolink Rocket v2 is a sandwich style itx case, with only only one 92mm fan, which is used as an exhaust.

I've seen it is possible to install a 92mm AIO water cooler for the CPU, but my Cryorig C7 does the job fine, so I have swapped out the original slim 92mm for a Noctua NF-B9 Redux.

There are no spots for an intake fan, but I decided to hold up a 120mm fan that I had spare against the case... and the vent holes matched the layout of the fan screw holes!!

So I ordered 2 120mm Arctic P12 15mm Slim fan, some M4 25mm nuts, bolts and washers, here is the result...

(it may be possible to do this with a 25mm thick fan and 30mm M4 buts)

It does not look as clean now, but I can game at ultra settings and my GPU is running very cool (40)

I may switch out the nuts for grey nylon/plastic ones or transparent ones, that could look good.

Another mod I did was extra storage - this case has 5 drives:

256GB NVMe on the motherboard

480GB 2.5" SSD in the slide out tray

2TB 2.5 HDD in the slide out tray

256GB SATA M.2 installing using an M.2 to SATA adapter on the CPU side

256GB SATA M.2 installing using an M.2 to SATA adapter on the GPU side

And lastly another look at my RTX 3070 FE that I managed to get at MSRP
