Does anyone know any good value graphics cards for the UK (brand new)?

  • GeForce RTX 3080. Best Graphics Card Overall, for 4K and More.
  • Radeon RX 6800 XT. Best AMD GPU, Forget About DLSS.

But I will suggest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Nothing great at the moment. 1650 is in stock and on the low end of the price range, but it is also lower end performance presuming that gaming is the main application.

Towards end of month there's 6500 XT and 3050 expected to be out. 6500 XT would beat a 1650. Probably not by a huge amount, but it would be newer tech. 3050 would be nicer but I'd expect miners to snap them all up before you get a chance.

Gaming system: R7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, Corsair Vengeance 2x 32GB 6000C30, RTX 4070, MSI MPG A850G, Fractal Design North, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Productivity system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, 64GB ram (mixed), RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, random 1080p + 720p displays.
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

i don't think that exists right now anywhere. you're getting screwed either way I think. personally i would avoid those 1650/1660s (also, not even sure they fit in your budget - here a crappy 1650 jumps above 350euros - i thinks its worse than a 1060 3gb even, the 1660 starts at 590euros). i'd rather just get a gt730 for $100 if you don't have an igpu (cause apparently that's the value of a gt730 2gb nowadays), better yet just get it second hand, although with how desperate people are wouldn't be surprised if they mine even those :))

and just spend 100euros on geforce now for the next 6 months (assuming your internet can handle it).

as @porina mentioned - i'd wait to see what happens with 6500XT when it comes out in just a few weeks I think. the 3050 i think will be snatched up by miners so i'd not even hope for it, but the 6500XT looks bad enough that miners might actually not be interested in it. but potentially good enough for gaming and you might actually be able to afford it in your budget (although ... that might not be in your budget either. not sure how it's there, but here most gpus are at 2.5/3x the msrp)

well, if you can find it - sure, i suppose. personally i would not get it. it's just not worth it considering it's weaker than what came out 4+ years ago (rx 580 / 1060 3gb) and you're not really getting any shiny new features either (dlss would be the most useful given it's entry level status, but as far as i know it doesn't support dlss, you should at least check for this beforehand).

there might be 2 more in the next 3 weeks if you can wait (3050 / rx 6500). good luck.

I'm looking for a 200-400 GBP graphics card, thanks in advance.

Nothing 'new' currently, its a very bad time to buy a GPU.

If ur not in a position to build around an AMD APU, and NEED a new GPU to get up and running, look out for a GTX 980 or 980ti on used marketplaces, its the highest performing card u can get for ~£200 that isnt a massive rippoff.

As soon as u look for anything newer thats as good or better from both AMD and Nvidia, prices go through the roof.

The next step up..just..is a GTX 1660 and they are £300+, just not worth it.

update: looks like no. we kinda already knew the 3050 was not gonna be an option actually ... but now we also know the 6500xt isn't an option either. asus marked it up to 330euros which means it will be in stores for 400+ euros ( the cynic in me says at least 450euros ).

as for the gtx3050 - it has an msrp of $250. that's about $50 more than the 6500 but it also has 8gb of ram, so i'd say miners are gonna be all over it and the likes of asus/gigabyte/etc know this so that will be marked up even more severely. so ... i don't think you'll be seeing the 3050 below 600euros in stores.

not sure if any of them will fit in your budget.
