Seagate hard drive trouble

I've got a 1t seagate external hard drive whenever I put it into the computer it says please insert disk into drive e I've plugged it into the back usb's to see if they weren't getting enought power but that didn't help.

every harddrive is protable:D

 

Just grap an old intern Harddrive and put it in a treebox and paint it black:D

No It doesn't do anything. when I put my ear to the HDD I can hear the disk spinning if that helps.

Do you have any other device you could plug the hard drive into? if so try that. My portable hard drive doesnt like my brothers computer, and doesnt work. but works golden on mine, and my dads computer
