I’ve tried booting from my boot key to install windows 10 and it won’t work, on the select boot drive screen it shows the device is recognised and when selected the window disappears then reappears, i have re formatted and re downloaded the iso file using a different   computer and still no success, any ideas on what to try?

Your post is a little confusing so I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do.  But, if you're doing what I think you're doing, I would use the Windows Media Creation Tool to install windows to your boot drive.  It will detect your drive and then install windows.  When using the WMCT, make sure the only drive in the system is just the one drive that you're going to use for the boot drive.  You will need a USB flash drive, (the one I use is 32gigs), but it only has to be 8gigs.

The tool will recognize your drive and give you the opportunity to delete/remove all partitions from your bood drive then it wiil create what it needs and finish the install.

Good Luck.
