Keychron K2 keyboard Bluetooth Issues

Go to solution Solved by RollinLower,

have you tried reinstalling or updating the bluetooth drivers for your motherboard? Also, if you rmotherboard came with external wifi antennas, that is usually also where the bluetooth signal is coming from. So placing that closer to the keyboard could help.

So I have the Keychron K2 keyboard and I've been trying to connect it to my main PC and I have been having issues.

I've tried several times to connect the keyboard and in most cases it won't even detect the keyboard and in the rare cases it does when I select it, it doesn't fully connect.

I've also tried disabling the on board bluetooth and using a USB bluetooth adapter but while it technically connects there is awful lag where it takes 5-10 seconds to register a keystroke.

I don't believe it's the keyboard as I have been able to connect it without issue to an Android phone, an iphone, ipad and Lenovo Laptop and works flawlessly on those devices.

My PC if you need

Gigabyte Aorus x570 Xtreme

Ryzen 9 3900x

MSI 5700XT

32GB (2 x 16GB) RAM

Any ideas on what could be causing issues connecting to this particular PC?

Since I wasn't using the wifi on my motherboard it never occurred to me that the bluetooth would need an antenna.

As I just found out even if I put the keyboard as close as a few centimetres away from the motherboard the signal is still trash without the antenna. Once the antenna was attached (there's a separate connector and antenna for bluetooth and wifi and doesn't say which is which in the manual) bluetooth is now working flawlessly as I am now typing without any lag or issues.

Thank you for the help.
