Looking for a Type C Drive

I've been in the market for a fast type c thumb drive for around 6 months now but no matter how hard I look I cant find anything I want, everything I find is a stinkin 2 in 1 usb 3.1 + type c, and there speed is Horrendous, does anyone have/know of a type c thumb drive that is rather speedy?

usb drives are generally shit for performance, as they're made to be cheap.

 

If you want good USB C Speeds - find a small-ish NVME Enclosure with a USB C interface.

In case 2 in 1 is interesting for you I also went through this and concluded that they're indeed all garbage, so instead I went with one of these and a fast UHS-1 U3 card.

I get the 90ish MB/s I wanted that way.

The issue is likely with the flash itself, not the bus speed. A top of the line USB 3 flash drive is only going to be about on par with a hard drive in terms of performance. How fast are you expecting it to be? If you want something really fast, you need a portable SSD, not a flash drive.

 

EDIT: Here's the fastest flash drive I have (SanDisk Cruzer) vs the slowest SSD in my system (TeamGroup CX2)
