RTX 3090 is Way To Cold?

Yoshi Moshi

I have a ASUS RTX 3090 TUF with a water block and backplate.

The water block is from EK, as well as the backplate.

I using water as coolant.

I had cyberpunk 2077 open, max settings (with RTX on max), 4K on one screen.

And HWINFO on a second monitor, 1440p.

My card is not overclocked.

The max temperature I ever got to was 47 deg c. I think my card is broken, it shouldn't be this cold? Is this normal?

Those temps are lower than I'd expect, but not by that much and that doesn't mean that the card is faulty. Are you playing with Vsync on? What is the GPU usage when playing.

Depending on how much radiator you have in your system, I'd expect max temps to be somewhere around 55-60C. If you're in a colder room, have the framerate limited in some way, or accidentally lowered the power limit (it happens), then those temps you're seeing would be pretty realistic. If you're framerates are where you expect them to be, then don't worry about it.

That’s the temps my 2080 runs at. Granted, 3090 is producing more heat, but the die size I believe is larger as well. Low 50’s is normal, 47 is within “normal”.

If it’s boosting correctly, and your getting expected FPS, it’s not broken, you just have a good chip and a solid cooling setup.
