Fonts and Licensing

Hi guys So I'm looking at obtaining a font to put in some videos but when i finally found it was confused by the licensing options that are available and which one would be applicable to me. The font in question is Handel Gothic. From some websites i was in contact with they say a desktop license should be enough as im only uploading videos but i just wanted to confirm.

Font licensing lingo is weird for people new to the space and it's not at all consistent from foundry to storefront to creator and so on. The "desktop" license ($39) covers using it in logos, documents, etc for one "workstation", which if you're self-employed or a content creator, means just you. 

 

That's the license you want. If you want to use it in an ad or sponsorship spot you technically should also buy the "DigitalAds" license as well for another $39.

Yeah that works too, just a different foundry selling it than the one I was looking at. 

 

Question though... Do you have Adobe CC? Handel Gothic's commercial license is free for subscribers: https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/handel-gothic#fonts-section

Nah this is honestly my first foray into looking at different than standard fonts. And realistically i'm only looking at maybe an immediate 12-20 videos. Its mostly going to be use for the intro and it might suit other games for an intro too.

 

But i might take a look at that too. Could learn some photoshop skills
