so today i decided to benchmark my ryzen 5600x with apps such as vray and cinebench and i wanted to know is my cpu underperforming? in vray i got a score of 8054 and in a techspot review of the 5600c they got a score of 12944 one difference though is that they used version 4.10 and i used 5. and then in cinebench a random video i found in multi core they got a score of 11540 and i got 10479. and then in single core they got 1571 and i got 1492. Now my cpu is at 4.3ghz and my gpu is a gtx 460 (i got it for free because of the shortage) and my OS is windows 10. and i have 16gb of 3200mhz ram. is my cpu underperforming and if so how do i make it better?

That's not much to go on. You tested with a different V-Ray version, so I wouldn't worry about that one - it's an apples and oranges comparison. As for the Cinebench score, some random YouTuber could have run it with PBO enabled, which would account for the 9% difference.

What motherboard do you have?

There are a lot of variables regarding benchmark scores. (Background apps, services, software versions etc)

I have a 5600x running all cores at 4.65Ghz and there was over a 500 point difference when running cinebench in normal boot mode vs clean boot.

My multi score in clean boot mode was just over 11600.
