What graphics card do you have? but yes it's usually a good idea to take the graphics card out and the HDD. I don't transport my main rig very often, but I have my LAN rig that's on a bench case so moving it is quite easy. I usually strap it in the car with the seatbelt.

I never took my GPU out when I transported my rig to LAN parties. I just made sure the rig was strapped in to the seat of my car and I drive more carefully to make sure I don't jostle it around with quick maneuvers. Never had any issues with how u deal with it

I use large bag (like sports bag) until it got enough. Then I put it onto roller and pull it with me. Three times in train with that combination, no problems. If you are going with car, then you don't need to do anything really. Its same as moving. Just put case on seat and make sure it doesn't move too much.

I've done both and I will say the simplicity of console LAN parties are amazing. Set up and tear down combined in like 3 mins hahaha we would also fit so many more people in the same amount of space because we don't need space for towers or peripherals

I put the computer on its side on a seat, motherboard down and the front towards the front of the car. This way bumps and acceleration/deceleration doesn't mess with your stuff to much, especially your expansion cards.

Old shit no one cares about but me.

I kinda like the "ritual" where everyone sets everything up, but everyone has a preference :P

Oh yeah that's great and comparing specs and builds I'd a blast. Its just after a good 23 hour LAN session the last thing I want to do is take my set up apart and transport a massive rig hahaha
