Clock speeds

So when i idle or do anything my clock speeds are at 3.3ghz but when i want to play anything clock speeds drop to 1.9-2.4ghz

check temperature or power limit, throttlestop can do both but  HWinfo is more generally useful

What are your specs? WHat PC/laptop do you use?

The first thing I would check for this is temperatures and power settings.

 

If your computer has power settings set for Balanced power mode, this can happen and is quite common. You will want to change the power options in the control panel to High Performance if it is not already set to that. That should most likely fix it. If not, I would monitor your temperatures with software like HWinfo or something to check for thermal throttling.
