Upgrade my system. AMD bundle? which CPU to get?

To be completely honest.. I haven't been up to date with Ryzen or Intel for a past year or so I have no idea..

 

Budget (including currency): £500

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly for network administration (home lab) VMware workstation, some gaming @ 144hz. 

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

 

Current build:

i7 4790K

16GB Ram

1060 6GB

120GB SSD

1TB HDD

250 HDD

144HZ Samsung Curved monitor 1080p

60hz Acer monitor 1080p

 

I'd like to stick to my 1080p 144hz.

Best Budget CPU right now is the 12600k for gaming, that said its very hard to find Z690 boards and DDR5. May be more prevalent to find a DDR4 compatible Z690 board if you go this route.

 

For AMD best for you would be 5600x, though your limiting factor will be your 1060, but you know this already i'm sure.

I figured that my GPU is going to slow everything down.  I've taken a look at some bundles but all the motherboards are Mini ATX..  I need ATX. I'd like move away from Intel.. I want to go AMD would you know any good bundles?

Microcenter has a few decent bundles on there Amazon Page: Not knock your socks off bundles, but decent pairings.

Then you would just need some Ram, but DDR4 is fairly cheap so you can probably find a decent kit in the 60-70 pound range for a 16gb kit.
