So randomly one day when I plugged smth into a usb port that I hadn't used for a bit I got an error pop up in windows and windows didn't recognize my usb device, I also tried some other ports that I hadn't used, they also didn't work so now I have only 4 working usb ports on my pc.

which ports are affected? Are they ports on the back of the motherboard or case ports?
