no, not in all cases. you dont have a guarantee how high gpus overclock, it is luck. with the sc you definitely get at least the overclock that it has it could be that the normal 780 cant handle even 1 mhz but it is not very likely.

The SC comes factory overclocked, where as the standard one comes with stock clocks. There is no guarentee that either will overclock much (or at all), but the SC version is binned for higher clock speed out of the factory.

Not really, the SC is not binned one bit. All non SC cards have reached the SC clocks, and even higher pretty much every time. Heck you can just flash on the SC bios and make your non SC card an SC one :)

That may be the case, I'm just making the point that by default the SC will have higher clock speeds. If you are planning to OC the card yourself then the difference may not be very much :)
