Without getting an entirely new motherboard, you're not going to get much out of upgrading. The AM3/AM3+ socket is very limiting, and also 12 years outdated.

Btw, we can't do anything in terms of recommendations without a budget 🙃

lets just say unlimited buget

Unlimited budgets can go astronomical pretty quick 😅 but within reason I'd say the new 12600K.

CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K  ($299.99 @ Best Buy)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black  ($44.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 UD  ($219.99 @ B&H)
Memory: Crucial 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5-4800 CL40  ($115.99)
Total: $680.87

Damn considering the damage on your car you are lucky to be alive, if i ever get into a crash like that im dead for sure cause ill buy an 80s corolla once im old enough (unless i got a rollcage or something)

Could you give full specs of your computer? (everything incl case, psu, etc.)

Usually theres some stuff that can be reused like the case and storage

Well to make sure money is well spent id suggest waiting for zen3d so there are 2 options to chose from cause atm its 12th gen and ryzen 5000, ryzen 5000 being decimated by 12th gen so effectively the only option is 12th gen

Though if you are fine with running the currently bug ridden windows 11 and you can tolerate the potential inconveniences of said bugs or glitches then a 12700k is prob reasonable as the 12900k is extremely expensive atm and idk why, maybe its just out of stock or something

Spent half of the damn cost on the ssd, psu, and cooler cause if you are gonna spend alot of money might aswell do abit of overkilling so it may not be neccesary now but a few years later itll pay itself back, esp on the psu and cooler cause what looks to be a foolish choice now 5-10 years later itll pay itself off cause of how long theyll last

psu will degrade overtime but considering the warranty is 10 years it should last quite awhile not to mention if you go hedt like threadripper then you can continue reusing the psu

cooler will last basically forever cause afterall its just a bunch of aluminum and copper

Gen4 is useless now but those 70$ over a z330 may pay off in the future if you can utilize direct storage or you start doing vid editing or something

Cpu mb and ram wise i just chucked a 12700k in one of the cheapest budget boards on z690 (a pro is still decent) and added 32gb 4000mhz cl18 ram cause it wasnt that much more over 3600 cl18, heck prob cheaper than 3600 cl16.
