I was given a basket with a bunch of old PC junk like cables and what not and it included an upgraded Acer Aspire xc100 desktop, the upgrade was a Corsair Vengeance 16gb ddr3 ram stick and an SK Hynix 256gb SSD. The issue with the computer is that it won't display on any monitor and I believe it must be a problem with the CPU, I came to this conclusion after plugging in my keyboard and mouse and the lights not turning on, I took that as a sign that the CPU wasn't working. Any tips on how I resolve this? My first idea was by removing the CPU but I couldn't seem to figure out how to remove the screw. Any and all help is appreciated thank you,

Try with the original memory. It might not support the 16GB Corsair Vengeance memory you're using.

It looks like the CPU cooler has 4 plastic screws on springs. If you gently press down and rotate half a turn they should come undone.

It's also very possible that the PC is just dead and why it was left in the junk pile.
