Hello everyone, I'm new here and was wondering if this is the right way to post something like this. (please tell me if it isn't)

Anyways here are my PC specs.

Processor -  11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900K @ 3.50GHz   3.50 GHz
System type -  64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Motherboard -  MSI Z590 PRO WiFi CEC ATX, ARGB, WiFi 6, 2.5GbE LAN, 4 PCIe x16, 6 SATA3, 2x M.2 SATA/PCIe

Video Card -  GeForce RTX™ 3080 10GB GDDR6X

Power Supply -  1,000 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

RAM / System Memory -  16GB (8GBx2) DDR4/3200MHz Dual Channel Memory (ADATA XPG Z1)

CPU -  Intel® Core™ Processor i9-11900K 8/16 3.50GHz [Turbo 5.1GHz] 16MB Cache LGA1200

I have played the battlefield 2042 beta and some other games as well and the GPU and CPU bog down really hard. I can play for about 1 - 2 minutes and after that I have below 10% GPU and CPU usage. (horrible frames)

Temps for both are fine from what I can tell. Doesn't seem to be a hardware issue that I can see. My friend builds PCs and he said he has never had this happen before.

I've done other tests to see if its a bottle-neck issue and it's not from the tests I've done. I will attach some photos below as well. I've updated all drivers and made sure all connections were secure.

Any input on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am playing in 1080p too. I plan on getting a 1440p monitor soon to utilize the graphics cards full potential. (Not a tech savvy person but I'm learning each day)

Underpowered might be the wrong word.  Makes it sound like you have insufficiently powerful hardware, but that isn’t the issue.  They’re not underpowered they’re radically underperforming.  You’ve got very powerful hardware that apparently is running at 10% or less of capacity.  “5 fps on 11900k/3080” sounds a lot more compelling. Those seem like idle or lower than idle power levels to me.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

No way that GPU should run at 1000MHz,so either you didn't connect proper way cables (firm connection) or you have very very bad power supply unit.

What is your PSU model name, please?

Don't worry about throttling, your CPU is amazing as well as GPU.

But your card simply for some reason is not getting enough juice.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

I can't get the PSU out unfortunately. But I do have a symbol if you can figure out what brand it is. It says it's 1000 watts but im not sure. This may or may not help 😅

Oh and this might sound a little dumb but I have my surge protector plugged into an extension cord...could that be a problem as far as under powering the gpu? I've never heard of such a thing but I figured I would lay it all out because I thought that might have something to do with it.

Missing fan screws?  PSU won’t come out through external holes.  Have to remove the screws on the back, take the side panel off, unplug every thing, and pull it out through the side panel.  Shouldn’t need to though. Stats sticker should be visible from side panel side. That logo might just be for the fan.
