what are your most played games? why? any regrets?

Going back ages, because I'm old:

NES: Tecmo Super Bowl. Still play it to this day. And have photographic proof of a year when the 49ers did NOT make the playoffs, which is rare!

Sega: Phantasy Star 2. Borrowed this from my best friend all the time, probably had in my possession more than him and played tons.

MS-DOS: Master of Orion 2, and Privateer. So many late nights sucked into these games as a teen. Also original XCom 1 & 2.

Later PC (still old for many of you): Unreal Tournament. So many CTF games at LAN parties. Low gravity and Instagib on Facing Worlds and Lava Giant was amazing. Also Quake, original Halo (Blood Gulch CTF), and first Battlefield (turbo jeep CTF on El Alamein) for LAN parties. Also tons of time in Diablo 1 & 2.

Recent PC: modern XCom 1 & 2, Cyberpunk, Civ 5, FTL, and new Tomb Raiders for solo play. Borderlands 3, The Division 2 with high school friends for multiplayer.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Not a healthy addiction. Luckily not anymore. Hours? in hundreds. Maybe above 1k even?

I edit my posts more often than not

Based solely on what Steam tracks (seeing how offline hours aren't compiled and my Fallout 4 / Skyrim are modded and launched through NMM or straight F4SE / SKSE):

ARK: Survival Evolved - 3,893 hours - no regrets.  Even admin'd my own little server for my ex-gf and friends.

7 Days to Die - 3,798 hours - still no regrets.  Played since Alpha 4, yes - it's been in early access for 7 years +, but it's changed so much, evovled and for a 15$ game (when I got it on sale) it's worth it.  Admin'd a few servers as well, one having a constant 15-25 playerbase daily for 6+ months.

Skyrim Special Edition - 702 hours.  I don't regret it, made many playthroughs in various builds / self-imposed RP stories.  Discovered modding early on - probably played 700 more hours of modded content.

Fallout 4 - 437 hours.  No regrets, love the game - prefer it when modded.  I mean, probably spent over a thousand hours in modded playthroughs.  I only finished the "main" storyline once modded or not.  I spend more time improving settlements than anything else or modding in silly things for the lulz(same for Skyrim).

Outside Steam: probably Minecraft.  I know I played daily when me and my ex-gf began dating, it was our after-work daily routine.  Likely a 2-3 hour daily drive for over a year - so maybe a little over a thousand hours.  I don't regret it - despite my oldest son being a total addict now.  XD
