how can i do this?

Go to solution Solved by GuiltySpark_,

The zoom out? It's just google earth and they're recording it. Editing the transition to make it as seamless as possible. Right before the cut to google earth they did a zoom out fade then cut to the earth shot.

I thought for a minute you were asking how to make one of those tables..

hey all! ive seen way too many people do things like this and ive really wanted to do it for my own future vids. does anyone know a good software for this and how i can do it?

I doubt it's a recording. More likely it's just a bunch of screenshots taken at different zoom levels that then get animated and blended, that's how you get complete control over how the camera behaves and moves. Here's a tutorial on how to do it.

I can assure you the sequence of the actual overhead map from the OP's video is 100% Google Earth.

He's using a Mac here but you can record it with anything, likely OBS on Windows if you don't have Pro.
