Budget (including currency):  ~$500

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly Valorant and Warzone

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): current build idea - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FmNzz7 . GPU is missing because I will be using my current one (4GB 960) until GPU prices drop.

My current gaming PC died. it was rather old. I have used it for about 6 years. Rather than trouble shoot, I figured I would upgrade the computer. I am trying get valorant and warzone way past 100fps on high settings. I would also like to keep the upgrade under $500 if possible. Anyone see a way to tweak this build to make it cheaper, but it still performs strong?

The Part list is private

Your parts list is private, but that said, if you can stand being out a gaming rig for a few weeks, it might be a good idea to wait till Black Friday before building your computer. Thanks to Alder Lake, last gen Intel CPUs and current gen AMD CPUs are dropping in price like crazy (Micro Center has a 5800X on sale for $300, and you can get another $20 off if you pair it with a motherboard), and with Black Friday sales you can probably get a really good system for $500.

Part list is now public. Also, I appeicate the insight. I was hoping that would be the case. I just wanted to plan out the build, then see what deals I could get.

We won't know until closer to Black Friday what the sales will be, but things can change so much in two weeks that it's probably a better time to ask this in two weeks once you've got an idea what pricing will look like.

It was public for about 2 minutes, and I snagged the actual link.

Just troubleshoot it anyways so you can actually sell the damn thing and add to your budget

That board prob only needs to be cleaned by just dunking the entire thing (yes the entire thing incl socket, ram slot, pcie slot, etc.) And it should just go back to being alive, if not then theres something really wrong with it

You just opened up a whole new world for me. I had no idea you could do alcohol baths! selling them isn't actually a bad idea. However, it was my first build ever. I was thinking of framing the parts.

Well thatll also work tho prob rather than have it lay around uselessly just use it as a secondary rig or just fold on it or something
