Question on Saving Problem

When I go to save a picture or other thing it takes longer then normal to do it. Sometimes the a web page takes a bit longer to load and has the checkerboard effect when it does. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I just got this desktop a year ago.

Run CCleaner or something similiar. Or get better net.

Have you ever done any software system maintenance on your system since you got it, if not you may need to, other than that, your hdd could be going bad or you have a memory problem( what type of problem i could not say with the given information.
