Remotely accessing a NAS

Go to solution Solved by FloRolf,

Yes Synology is very easy too. They offer the Quickconnect service which is incredibly easy to setup and just works.

It's obviously not fast as it relies on your home upload speeds but it's definitely usable.

I've been kinda wanting to set up a NAS for a while but I've only recently been really looking into it. Synologys DS120j and DS220j have been the ones that look the most appealing, but I'm curious if either of those or any other solutions would be accessable remotely from an Android phone.

Ok that's good to know. I wouldn't be downloading large video files remotely it would be pretty much soley documents with mabey a few occasional photos, so the slow download speeds shouldn't be an issue.
