Other details: Don’t need monitor, keyboard, mouse, or headset

So my 1080Ti just died on me and I’m honestly thinking of just building a new computer (Intel/Nvidia) at this point since my current build is ~4 years old. Is it recommended considering how outdated my current build is? If so, I have a $4000 USD budget.
 

Also open to the option of buying prebuilt because I hear it’s a better deal with the way GPU prices are now, but I’m not sure what my best options are.

Focus is on futureproofing so thats why theres an x570 mb and a gen4 ssd

 

Anything that isnt in this list can be reused (case, fans, psu, etc.)

 

You can actually get a 5950x if you want but if you dont think youll need 16 cores in the next 7 years then just stick with the 5900x

 

Theres ~2700$ for the gpu so you can get a 3090 but gpus get obselete really quickly so id suggest going for a 3080

Wait a month for non k cpus and b chipsets to release cause no point paying extra for useless features you wont use (unless you for some reason want to overclock your cpu which is pointless cause cpu oc is dead)

Money really isn’t an issue for me and my current build is dead in the water thanks to my GPU dying so I need to get a new build.

Well if you are fine on wasting 200-300$ on features you prob will never use (mainly overclocking) then sure i guess get a 12700k or 12900k and a ddr4 z690 board

the rest of you're rig is perfectly fine so just get this and ask corsair for an LGA 1700 mount.
