So I try to see every video to help me with this but there is none for the specific type of freezing I get.

To describe it. When the pc been running for a while it start to make every app not function like iCUE stop using the custom RGB color a selected and put back the default mode. I cannot close or minimize the window, but the mouse still works. After a few minutes, the pc entirely freeze and i have to reset the pc.

This only happens when I leave it run for long period of time like minimum 16 hours to 2 days max. If you wonder why I leave it running this long.
In the pc, I got:

  • ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (WiFi 6)
CORSAIR iCUE H100i Elite CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler
    Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3600
    Samsung 980 Series - 1TB PCIe Gen3. X4 NVMe 1.4 - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V8V1T0B/AM)
    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
ASUS ROG Strix 650 Full Modular 80 Plus Gold 650W ATX Power Supply

TLDR: My Internet is slow. It take Call of Duty Black ops Cold War like 2 days to download.

How is that your TLDR?? If you TTTR (take the time to read) your post, you said your issue is with intermittent freezing. NOT slow internet.

To clarify what OP meant, their internet is slow therefore they must leave it turned on for long durations. These durations trigger the freezing problem.

@Bad5ector Hope that helps.

Correct me if I'm wrong, OP.

TBH it sounds like a memory leak or buggy program eating up resources. It could be malware but that seems unlikely given the nature of the symptoms. I'm going to presume Windows 10 since you haven't mentioned an OS.

Have you checked the memory and CPU usage of your apps in the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) just prior to the lockup? If not, reviewing the Event Viewer may shed some light on what's going on. Typically the log "Administrative Events" will be the most useful.

@Mavendow I think OP realized how it was confusing and removed it from the post.

I'd agree, sounds like memory leak or some other runaway process. When your RGB goes back to default, can you bring up your task manager and sort by CPU usage. If you see a process that is much higher than the rest (like 20% or more), that might be the culprit.

1. Yes that was what I meant with the TLDR.

2. Yes its running on windows 10.

3. I when in the Event Viewer. Most of the error I found is tied to Kenel-EventTracing and DistributedCOM.

EventTracing can be a wide range of things, so, look for one that occurred around the time you last experienced a lockup. As for DistributedCOM, almost everyone gets those. It should only be of concern if the error references {9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}, otherwise it is not in my experience a continuous issue.

I'll wait until the next crash to pinpoint the exact error. Thanks a lot for your help.
