Hello there,

I am planning on building a new gaming pc and I would really like to hear your thoughts and recommendations about the parts that I have in mind.

Budget (including currency): 1.700 - 2.000

Country: The Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: solely gaming, games like F1 2020, Apex Legends, Asassins Creed Valhalla, Witcher 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry 6, Valheim, might even try Cyberpunk.

Other details: I already have a 1440p, 144 hz monitor (LG 27GL850 Ultragear), I would like to run the games listed above on at least high settings at 1440p (ultra when possible).

Here’s the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CZ7mnL

Total costs: 1.720 .

I am buying 2 extra case fans to put at the front on the case, so it will have 3 intake fans on the front, 1 exhaust fan at the top and 1 exhaust fan at the back of the case.

=> I am also considering the Intel Core i7 11700F and MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING Z TRIO LHR graphics card instead of the 3060 ti and i5 processor I put on the list. Obviously these are better parts, but they are also more expensive (the total build will then cost 2.030 ). I’m not quite sure if that is worth it. Thoughts on this are also appreciated.

Cheers!

I would say the 11700f would be worth it. The next gen is going wide (12600k has 10 cores 6p + 4e) so I would expect the 8 core cpu to age better than 6. 3060ti and 3070 are pretty similar in performance so I don't think it's entirely worth it. It would more depend on the price difference between them though.

I would stick to 1 TB nvme with dram or you could go with a 2TB one cause games getting too big. The one you pick is fine, but there are much better drives for not too much more. No need for a separate boot drive. Some examples:

Silicon Power P34A80

ADATA XPG GAMMIX S5

Western Digital SN750

You can also get a windows license from a key reseller for a lot less or just run unlicensed; windows doesn't really care.

For the GPU I'd recommend this. Much cheaper and only slightly slower. That paired with a 5600X would be great, but I would wait for tomorrow for the 12th gen CPU's to be benchmarked. If they are any good you will probably want a 12600K. Also RM750x is not much more expensive but is a lot better. 650w should also be good enough, which will be about the same price as 750w RM. Other than that looks good

Also please don't use black text, it's barely readable in dark mode image.thumb.png.0182b4461e848fed35b854dc53ccd376.png

I agree about 6600XT, Unless u can get 3060 ti for at most 100 Euros more than 6600XT there is no point paying any more than 100 Euros for 3060ti.

For other parts, Optimization is really needed, For example F series CPU and Z series board really makes no sense. Also SN550 is bad drive and 1TB + 500GB also makes no sense.

Get 5600X and MSI B550-A Pro.

Get 3600mhz RAM Here's really good option for RAM

Tried to finetune your build, went with AMD instead. It's faster now and will probably be competitive with Intel 12th gen.

I put in a nice aftermarket cooler to keep your CPU a bit cooler, just to give you more headroom.

I also put in a B550 mATX board, but you could go full ATX. I just found this to be a nice price/performance package. But the B550 A-Pro is also a great choice.

Memory: went with 3600MHz Ram as it performs better with Ryzen.

Storage: I picked a drive of the recommended list, so a solid choice with enough cache. You can always add SSD's or HDDs (still fast enough for games) later.

GPU: The 6700XT will be a bit more satisfying in getting you a good 1440p performance. The 6600XT or 3060TI are more 1080p high refresh cards. So I'd opt for the 6700XT or 3070Ti.

Case: The P360A is a great case, has good airflow and good thermals. If you want to check out the review, gamers nexus did one on this case and it performed quite well. With only two stock fans mind you. More fans don't equal better temps, so I'd only add 1 extra fan, maybe two. But not more, as you won't notice it that much in temps.

PSU: just a nice 750w 80+ gold unit with enough power to handle a cpu upgrade and gpu upgrade.

Hope that helps!
