Help Finding a GPU

OGKRG

In the process of building a new rig, I am getting another B450 Aorus M, and a 3600x. What GPU would be good to pair with this rig to play games like Apex, Valorant, Overwatch, Warzone and Battlefield 2042

Cool! Thanks. Thoughts on RX cards like 6800 XT? I'll be playing on either 1080p/1440p 144-165Hz Medium-Low settings

RX 6600 XT would probably be even enough.

One of the best price/performance cards out there in my opinion.

I edit my posts more often than not

my 6700XT work Great (on Arch Linux) at 160Hz 1440P ultra Wide and still good on windows 10 (In a VM with VFIO pass over) with HDR on full ultra
so a 6600XT should be pretty good

Right! I loved my RX 570 and was going to get a 5500xt last year. I love AMD drivers too.

I get so confused with statistics Nvidia vs AMD. Currently I see that AMD cards are cheaper on eBay than Nvidia. I don't every play maxed out settings, I play super competitive, but I do enjoy native res, high refresh rate, model details, some effects, but never shadows, extreme lighting, huge AA or AF.

Get as strong of a card that you can afford to get. 1440p BF2042 was demanding. I couldn't run 144fps on high settings with a rtx 3070.

I prefer Nvidia over amd due to past issues and dlss is nice to have and more games are supporting it now. The nvenc encoder is a huge + to have if your into streaming

I'd go 3070/3080 for 1440p 144hz gaming

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x

Be quiet 500dx

Gigabyte m34wq 3440x1440

Xbox series x

For sure! I do wanna get a 1440p 165hz-240hz display, but I'll prob run 1080p on some games just cause I am used to it, but the more eye candy less competitive titles I'll try 1440p

1440p 240hz isn't easy to push with high settings. I use a 2560x1080 200hz ultrawide monitor with my rtx 3070 and I can push most games at that fps without running it on potato settings. I play a lot of old stuff/eSports games tho. Siege, pub g, Apex, rogue company, BF4

Ya I basically play the same games 🙂 I am so used to 1080p but I wanna try 1440p, I love 144hz, I've had 2 monitors that looked amazing, a Sceptre and a Acer, no complaints what so ever, but I do wanna try 165hz because for the price it's about the same.

Unfortunately overwatch and valorant I don't think support ultrawide monitors. The other games you play do tho.

I got the msi mag301rf from Amazon, I've seen them go for $259 new. It's 29.5 inches. It's the height of a 24 inch monitor but has 25% extra width. Ips flat panel, 200hz and 2560x1080 which isn't as hard to push as 1440p.  I love the monitor.

I have a 27 inch Dell 2560x1440p TN panel that sits next to it for stuff that isn't ultrawide friendly.

Picking up a Gigabyte RX 5500 XT 4GB OC for $200 today. 1 1/2 drive but that's a steal! Might flip it and try to get a 6600 XT
