overclocking, ram xmp....

hi

didn't build a new one for quite long time as I remember if you enable xmp it will autotically change cpu also, what should I do guessing that I want to run my cpu custom on 5.3 and ram how it's says on box arround 4000?

I'm not sure what you're saying. Enabling XMP has little to do directly with the performance of the CPU. Unless you're talking about the FCLK on Ryzen.

What are you referring to?

It isn't supposed to change the CPU clocks.

Are you overclocking the CPU? XMP is also an overclock and sometimes the CPU can't do both a high memory frequency and high clockspeed OC at the same time.
