I Installed a 2nd NVME drive(Samsung 970 evo plus 2tb) onto my Asus Z490-P motherboard ( 10700k) and the drive will not show up in the bios whatsoever.  What settings am I supposed to be changing to get the drive to show up?

Here are the relevant pages on my bios.   What am I doing wrong?

Does the 970 evo show up when it's in the primary slot?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Normally nothing. Should not matter for this issue but you have Hyper m.2 enabled, you don't want that unless you have a hyper m.2 card in the main PCIe slot.

Okay so it seems the drive wasn't fully in the slot.  That fixed it.  I turned off that hyper m.2 option too.  Thanks

What was the giveaway? Was the hold-down screw on a slight angle when went to tighten it?

I mean the screw wasn't completely centered in the hole but other than that it looked like it was all the way in.  I don't know how much force I am supposed to be using to push components into place.  Sure I could always ram components into a slot and break something but I don't have a warehouse full of spare parts that I can just grab if I do break something so *shrug*  Trial and error is expensive.
