Hello all, thanks in advance! This issue is not happening every time, but it has been happening often and it's very frustrating! I seem to notice it particularly happening after restarting from an install or update. It could just be coincidental. If I try to reboot and go into the BIOS to change the boot priority, my M.2 with the OS on it does not show up as an option. I have to physically uninstall the M.2 and reinstall it. Once does this, the system boots fine. I just don't understand why it keeps happening. I also don't understand why physically uninstalling the M.2 temporarily solves the problem. See PC specs below.

have you tried updating the bios?

Ok the EZ Update was not reporting any updates. So I went to ASUS website and downloaded the newest BIOS and updated manually. Upon restarting the system after the BIOS update it got stuck on the reboot. Now it won't acknowledge my M.2 boot drive no matter what I do and I can't boot.

Set the primary boot device to Boot Loader. Then the desired drive second. That usually fixes the problem, weird bug with windows that I've seen.

Ben, on mine I think it's worded as Boot Manager or something like that but it goes away as an option when the M.2 disappears.

My bad, Manager is correct. This seems to be an interesting predicament, do you have other M.2 slots to try the drive in?

No, unfortunately it only has one slot. I can't get it to acknowledge the M.2 at all now after trying the BIOS update. I am wondering if I have a bad M.2.

That is entirely possible. Apart from the NVMe, you and I have nearly identical storage setups.
