So my computer is dead silent in bios.. Literally no fan noise, but right after i boot to windows my GPU fan(The middle one) starts to like spin at 60%. The other two fans of the GPU is silent.

In MSI afterburner its set to 40%

But there is a fix! (For 5 seconds) When I press the OC button (Its in the back of the gpu) all of the fans goes to %100, when i turn it off, the computer is dead silent... For a couple of seconds, then the middle fan starts spinning at like 60%-70% again

What can i do about this??? I literally cannot play anything cannot watch anything because of this noise issue, this is driving me crazy.

PC specs:

Z390m mortar

8600k

gtx 970 HOF

16gb of corsair rgb pro white 3600mhz

corsair cx550f psu

(Also the fans are brand new, I replaced them)

GPUs often stay with the fans turned off when in idle. This usually means that eventually the temperature goes up and it starts the fans to keep the GPU below a certain temperature, where it turns the fans off again. Breaking the fan would not be a wise idea, however. Maybe while in idle set the GPU fans to run at 15-20% so that it doesn't fluctuate between passive and active cooling.

I cant set it to below 40. The middle fan is always at 60% except in bios and its too noisy (Always noisy)

Been through another similar thread recently with someone else. This sounds like an identical problem which was a faulty/malfunctioning fan controller on the card.

If you can use something like Afterburner or HWInfo to graph all three fans it should be pretty easy to spot.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

Yeah, so when i click the OC button in the back of the gpu then turn it off, the fans sets to 800RPM (For 5 seconds) and it becomes dead silent

After that, it increases to 1200-1300 RPM

Update: If I stop the right or left fan with my finger, the middle fan starts to spin up even more crazily

But if i stop the middle fan... Heaven comes

I also reinstalled everything on the GPU

So the  last solution is to break the fan I guess..
