How to remove protective partition on a drive without loosing data

My introduction to Synology is leading me into a rabbit hole and with each day I am discovering just how little I knew before this whole adventure.

I have a hard drive on my PC and I used it to backup all the data that I eventually transferred to my Synology, But I will like to keep this hard drive as it is and access it as an external hard drive with something like a Sabrent enclosure. The only problem after removing the drive from the PC and placing it into the Sabrent, I am prompted to initialize. I know that I will lose all the data if I initialize it. When I open disk management from my new laptop it says GPT protective partition. But when I insert it back on my PC I am able to access the data.

I would like to know what solution exists out there to help me remove the GPT protective partition without losing the data and be able to access the data as an external hard drive.
