Holy hell this is awesome!!! Great job! I love how you made the joints and drawers so you can access the components easy!

Is woodwork something you do as a job / hobby?

My grandfather was a carpenter, I studied engineering, worked in a machine shop for a bit, did some general contracting for a bit now I develop IOT for environmental monitoring. This was kinda a personal dream of mine for a bit and i had developed the craft to design and build it though i must say it was hella hard on a table saw and the openings made with a dremmel.

I see no problems other than you needing a monitor that doesn't require DVI....

😛

Have you considered doing cabinet-style monitor housings?  I'm thinking of 1960's style TV cabinets for inspiration.

What about a wood-frame keyboard, wood keycaps, and wood palmrest?

Optical mouse with the exterior removed and replaced by your own self-made wooden cover?

too much work on the peripherals to be worth at least without a CNC... the monitor maybe ill wall mount and make it look like a picture frame

That's pretty awesome! Looks like you could hand it down to your grandchildren as a family heirloom.
